ORCHID
The magnificent portrait of a blue-tinted Orchid on the cover of this smooth jazz recording not only lends imagery to the title of the album itself, but also reflects new and exciting currents in the Seattle bred composer’s music. Whereas on his four previous albums he wove pop and jazz with distinctly Brazilian and Latin rhythms, Orchid ventures into other areas ripe for exploration by Sheeran, urban music, tropical flavors, the blues and the laid back seductive vibe of romance.
