Phil Sheeran is an established guitarist and composer with the national international release of his CDs "Breaking Through", "Standing on Fishes", "It's A Good Thing", "I'll Be Home For Christmas", "Orchid","The First Noel" and his most recent release "The Latin Guitar Tribute to Marc Anthony".

Phil's albums have hit #17 on Billboard's Contemporary Jazz and charted top 5 in the nation for air play on contemporary jazz and New Adult Contemporary stations. Phil has performed on the same bill as the Rippingtons, David Benoit, Richard Elliott, Michael Tomlinson, Danny O'Keef and Tom Grant and has recorded with such artists as Eric Marianthal, Steve Kujula, Luis Conte, Gregg Karukas, Andy Narell, Eric Tagg, Brandon Fields, Harvey Mason, and Will Kennedy just to name a few.

Phil's educational background is in jazz, classical & Brazilian music. He graduated from Cornish Institute of the Arts in Seattle, WA with a BFA in music, Jazz composition and performance. A year before graduation Phil embarked on a musical sojourn to Brazil where he studied and became close friends with Brazilian Jazz Guitarist Romero Lubambo. While at Cornish he studied with Classical guitarist David Burgess and jazz greats, Bassist - Gary Peacock, Pianist - Art Lande and Ralph Towner. Phil signed with Sonic Edge Records of Los Angeles, California in 1990 and released hisfirst album "Breaking Through"  nationally 1n 1990. In 1991 came the release of his second album "Standing on Fishes" as it climbed up the charts to #4 NAC. Phil was nominated by NAMA (Northwest Area  Music Assoc.) both in 1991 & 1992 forBest Jazz Artist, Best Jazz Recording & Best Electric Guitarist.

James Taylor, Pat Metheny, Earl Klugh, Wes Montgomery, Joe Pass, Leo Keottke, Ralph Towner, Baden Powell...

My teachers whom I studied guitar with:
LeonAtkinson, David Burgess, Dave Peterson, Bob Gronenthal, Ralph Towner
and Romero Lubambo.

Presently, Phil resides in Los Angeles performing clubs, concerts, and festivals. He also works as a session guitarist and composes/produces music for film, television and commercial work. International releases to date include:

Japan, Italy, South Africa and Brazil.
